Michigan Spill Response is seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Manager for our Environmental and Emergency Response team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing environmental and emergency response projects with a focus on spill response, cleanup, excavation, and remediation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of environmental projects and emergency response activities, including spill response, cleanup, excavation, and remediation.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure projects are completed within scope, on time, and within budget.
- Communicate with clients, management, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and requirements.
- Lead a team of professionals, including technicians, equipment operators, and subcontractors, and ensure the team works together effectively to complete projects.
- Provide technical expertise and support to the team, including environmental sampling, data analysis, and report writing.
- Conduct site visits, fieldwork, and site assessments, and prepare detailed reports and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering or related field preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in managing environmental projects and emergency response activities.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and guidelines, including EPA, OSHA, and state-specific regulations.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, management, and regulatory agencies.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Willingness to travel and work outside normal business hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
